Let’s talk: NON-TOXIC INGREDIENTS

WHAT WE DON’T USE:

paraffin or beeswax. parabens. phthalates. carcinogens. mutagens. zinc, lead, or metals. reproductive toxins, organ toxins, or acute toxins. animal products. mica, or any other child labor/exploitation materials anything that necessitates a prop 65 warning. 

WHAT WE DO USE:

Fragrance & essential oils with transparent Safety Data Sheets (SDS) approved by the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials (RIFM) and the International Fragrance Association (IFRA).

American-grown soy wax, which is 100% renewable, clean-burning, slow-burning, eco-friendly, carbon-neutral, and sustainable. 

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified wood wicks (responsibly sourced), and 100% cotton wicks, which are durable & ecological.

Vessels, containers, and silicone molds that are always BPA-free.

 Liquid dye made from plants, biodegradable and eco-friendly.

Biodegradable packaging as often as possible.

Biodegradable shrink wrap/clear bags, and biodegradable & compostable glitter, made from plants - not plastic.

We also upcycle unused wicks & wax into new items, and will use thrifted containers when we find ones that are suitable for candles.

~ Our Story ~

It began in a van - but we weren’t candlemakers. Yet.

We were (and still are) but humble #vanlifers:

Dirtbags by day, Glampers by night.

At the end of the day, we want what any human in a cozy (tiny) home wants... a warm, relaxing, pleasant candle.

BUT NOT JUST ANY CANDLE! 

We want a candle that doesn’t want to hurt us. That means...

  • Durable, stronger vessels. (Cheap glass + bumpy van = bad.)
  • Safe scents that don’t emit dangerous fumes into our tiny home, triggering allergies, acid reflux, headaches, nausea, and worse.
  • Strict use of non-toxic wicks, waxes, fragrance oils, & packaging.

Choosing the sustainable option is not only safer for all of us, but it helps our furry friends, as well as the environment.

So we set out to make a business on wheels with that mission.

Our products are hand-selected and hand-poured with your best interest in mind & heart... (...and nose.)

So breathe easy, friend. And while you’re here, throw your favorite dirtbags some gas money in exchange for a candle. :)

From hairdressers & manicurists to record stores to chandlers like us, there is more than just your typical gay bar dwelling to meet others like yourself.
